Under 8s Day

Face painting was a very popular activity at under 8s
On Friday 23rd May, Jondaryan State School was a-buzz with activity as groups of young students and parents came to Jondaryan to celebrate Under 8s Day and partake in the various fun activities that were on offer. We welcomed Bowenville, Biddeston, Brookstead, Mt Tyson, Southbrook, Quinalow schools, as well as a group from the C&K Kindy in Oakey. The day began with a demonstration from the Dog Obedience group and from there students went around to the various activities to get as many stamps marked on their passports as they possibly could.  Activities included bike track, painting, sandpit play, obstacle course, bubbles, threading, fire engine, play dough, clapping sticks, mask making, biscuit icing, helicopter, face painting, parachute games.  Thanks for the Oakey Army Aviation Base who gave the students an opportunity have a close up look through a helicopter and the Jondaryan Rural Fire Brigade who had 2 trucks on site as well as Blazer bear handing out fire education games and stickers.
