2016 Focus

25/02/2016
Developing numeracy skills in class
The 2016 school year is off to a great start, with a total of 45 students enrolled; this is up from previous years.  We are all looking forward a productive year filled with fun and great learning opportunities.
Students from the Year 3 – 6 classes, have already participated in a science challenge day at Mt Tyson School and will soon be attending the small school softball carnival at Bowenville School.
This year our school focus is to develop the academic, cultural, physical and social development of each child and in doing so encourage our students to become self-motivated learner who can work independently or co-operatively.
Our school priority focus for 2016 is Numeracy; we aim to have every student achieve above the national minimum standards.  To assist our student to accomplish this, we have employed a teacher to provide sharp and targeted teaching in the area of numeracy, which will assist in boosting our student’s skills.
